Under Pressure?
Not having enough pressure to your vehicle's brakes can cause many braking problems. An easy way to tell how much pressure you are getting is with our "Sure Stop" brake pressure gauge (p/n A1704).
It comes with an easy to read gauge and adapters to six commonbrake fittings:
- 5/16" - 24
- 3/8" - 24
- 7mm - 1.00
- 8mm - 1.25
- 10mm - 1.00
- 10mm - 1.50
Simply remove your bleeder screw, screw the gauge in and then have someone push the brake pedal while you read the gauge. In a panic stop, you should have 1100-1200 PSI from your front calipers, and 900-1000 PSI from your rear calipers (500-600 PSI from rear drums).
