The early-model Mustangs (’64-1/2 -’67) are well built and extremely dependable... One of its glaring shortcomings, however, is its brakes. Now, this is not peculiar to the I-6, as the majority of the Mustangs came with four-wheel drum brakes. The difference with the I-6 models is that they came with four-lug wheels.
